USeP and Electronic Issues

• Use your imagination and come up with an idea of how USEP can use an Intranet or Extranet.
  
  " hmmf.. maybe USeP can use intranet or extranet during meetings, it may either be a university meeting or a faculty meeting. i have come up with this idea since i have observe that most faculty members of each department were so busy and maybe the administration also. even they are not in the same place, they can talk with each other.
  
  i dont really dont now how will be the flow of this. maybe this will use intranet which only usep faculty and admin can only access(of course). maybe online or through LAN virtual Chatting.."

• How can USEP integrate Internet applications with existing applications and data?
  " Integrating USeP's existing data with the use internet is i think will be a good way for usep to stand out with outher schools and to reach the universities goals. It's nice to know that the IC students this semester have submitted many different proposals which will integrate the university's procedures that i believe will help the Usep a lot.
  
  From the proposed online systems that i am aware of right now submitted by the 4th year and 3rd year IC students, the systems i think that would really be helpful are the Online submission of grades (proposed by our classmates Regina and Glayra) and our Proposal which is Online Advising( proposed by me and Charmaine). if this applications will be combined, i think this will become more precise(hehhehe.. but don't know how to do it.. 'coz i have heard from the "experts" that this is more complicated.hehe..since we were just amatuer in creating programs like this).
  
  The the proposal of the 3rd year Ic students, the systems that would be helpful i think are "online usep organization update" since this system will updates to the upcoming events in the university and this will also help the faculty and the administration specially when during meetings.
  
  and also the "university eMap directory". this kind of system is an interactive system that the user will not only benefit but also enjoy from using it. I think this will be more helpful to freshmen and transferees who are new in Usep..(hehhe)"

• Is USEP doing enough to protect privacy of faculty, staff and students they reach electronically?
  "Maybe the system administrator of usep have already improve the security of data of Usep's systems..
  usep's system have already been hacked months ago. as mentioned by the others, the IC logger have been attacked by the famous "ban of brothers". in that case i really can say that the security privacy was not enough. Since members of the so called "ban of brothers' were only the students of IC. well i don't know if they have hard time hacking IC's logger. Maybe they have just became very familiar with the system since they were in the NODAL everyday..for this i dont know if the IC logger have been upgraded to protect from hackers like them.
  and about the USeP's VLE... it have also been hacked a few months ago, but i know that the system admin have made some moves to restore USeP VLe..
  
  from these experiences, hope the system admin have learned a lesson from this and make some actions regarding to data security. and now, since there were many internet intergated systems that have been develop for usep. hope this systems also have data protection,."
